Dead Man's Footsteps by Peter James

Dead Man's FootstepsDead Man's Footsteps by Peter James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first Roy Grace novel and I had trouble putting it down. It was fabulous. So well written and fast paced.

It is set in September 2001 during 911 and 2007.The book goes between the two time frames.

The characters were well thought out and I must say a few parts were quite chilling. The climax to the book was very thrilling and left me wanting to purchase more Roy Grace novels.

The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked this book. Found it hard to get into for the first few chapters though.
I loved the setting of the book, luscious green woods. I can almost imagine myself being there.
Without giving anything away, I really felt for Giles and thought he was hard done by. Fitzpiers is some piece of work....I disliked him immensely.
The book entails adultery in a time when divorces were not really around, and women hard barely any rights.

I loved this book, had trouble putting it down.

Rollin's never fails to please with his books. Fast paced, fast action and a good plot line.

The book is about a search for the lost city of Ubar by Lady Kensington and her childhood friend Dr al-Maaz and all the perils they have to face including an ancient relic that lives and breathes.

A Lesson in Forgiveness by Jennifer Connors

A Lesson in ForgivenessA Lesson in Forgiveness by Jennifer Connors

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this. Very quick read.
It tells of Ginny who is transported from the 21st century into the body of a romance novel heroine in 1803.

I found the grammar to be lacking in a few places but overall an entertaining read.
I don't normally read historical romance, maybe my tastes are changing as I'm getting older lol.

A Lesson in Passion by Jennifer Connors

A Lesson In PassionA Lesson In Passion by Jennifer Connors

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I don't normally read romances, but this was free on Amazon for the Kindle so I thought, why not?

I actually really enjoyed it.
It wasn't mushy like I thought it would be.
The only bad thing about it was it ended abruptly.
Needless to say I purchased the second novel in the series!

The story is about Ginny and she is transported back in the past to Scotland in the time of the clans where she meets a Laird, Ian.
