This wan't my favourite book from Thomas Hardy.
It was a delight to read and Hardy does have a way with words. That said I did feel it lacked a little compared to some of his other works.
I would of liked to have read more about the musical activities.
Miss Fancy Day got on my nerves a little being so fickle but I warmed very much so to Mr Dick Dewy.
In essence, this is a love story more than anything else, but a very enjoyable read.
